Joseph Watson CPI, Founder and CEO
After a distinguished career with Alexandria (VA) Police Department (APD), Mr. Watson sought to continuing giving back to community in creating the Special Operations Solutions in 2004. Rising through the ranks at APD, Mr. Watson led the Department in community policing, crime prevention and special operations. Immediately following 9/11, Mr. Watson served as APD's principal interagency liaison with federal and interagency officials and the private sector in strengthening the City's safety and resilience. Mr. Watson went on to serve as Culpeper County (VA) Sheriff's Department (CCSD) Operations Captain. As the third highest ranking member of CCSD, Mr. Watson transformed the Department's all hazards preparedness and community engagement. Mr. Watson has designed and led emergency preparedness exercises in numerous jurisdictions and in support of many federal agencies. A Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Watson holds VA licensure and certifications as a Virginia Compliance Agent, Private Investigator, and Law Enforcement Instructor.

Joseph Trindal, PPS
With 30 years of federal law enforcement experience, Mr. Trindal serviced in leadership positions with the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and as one of the original leaders in creating the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal and Incident Commander, Mr. Trindal answered the call to return to his native Virginia after 9/11 to lead USMS response efforts. He led the interagency efforts for safety and security in prosecuting the only surviving 9/11 co-conspirator as well as Robert Hassen and John Walker Lindh - the "American Taliban". Answering another distinguished call for service, Mr. Trindal accepted the position as Director at the new U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS), National Capital Region (NCR). Mr. Trindal has led many of DHS public-private sector initiatives and was an architect of Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) regulation that also laid the foundation for FPS to elevate within the DHS. A distinguished Marine Corps veteran, with numerous deployments, Mr. Trindal has extensive business executive experience in security and international rule of law reform support to federal agencies. Mr. Trindal holds degrees in police science and criminal justice as well as certifications in law enforcement training and leadership from VA DCJS, the USMS, the FPS National Academy, the Justice Management Institute, Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy, and the National Rifle Association, among other certifying authorities. He also is President Emeritus of the FBI's InfraGard National Capital Region Chapter and former interim chair of the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) and the multi-agency representative for the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) CBRN Working Group. |
